There’s been better news…

Hello Everyone -
It’s been awhile since we’ve posted anything here on the site which could mean we’re hard at work finishing the film or stalled out on the side of the film freeway. I wish it was the former, but instead it is the latter. This doesn’t mean the film will never be finished, but it does meant that we have no definitive date for it’s completion to due to our funding issues. I am sad to report.
For those of you who pre-ordered the film I will be processing refunds in the next week or two and sending them to the mailing address you provided. There is no need to send back the DVD case and artwork. By all means, please hang onto it as a reminder that there is an independent documentary out there hungry for funding!
For anyone reading this that may have interest or leads of where we may be able to hunt down funding for the post production of Alice’s Drive, please do not hesitate to get in touch. A safe dollar amount for completion is somewhere in the $75-100,000 range. There has been a significant amount of interest in purchasing the film and offers for outlets wherein it can be sold. That much is very exciting - we have an audience out there! That being said, an interested party would be guaranteed profit sharing and partial ownership of the film.
I wish we had better news. However, until the economy improves and funding for the arts becomes more free-flowing we will keep Alice’s spirit alive and know that whether or not the film reaches completion the Maxwell made it across America both in 1909 and 2009 and both times with a woman at the wheel!
Sincerely,
The Alice’s Drive Team
