Ladies, I think of you often throughout the day and Potter is now always asking where you are, so I drag out the map and try to keep up. Keep strong and breathe.

Your journey has gotten off to a wonderful start, even with engine problems, and complete with rain, just like the original Alice. Are you carrying any wet, bedraggled flowers from well-wishers--like Alice did? The article in the Los Angeles Times last Sunday has generated a LOT of interest, as has the NPR mention. Way to go! Gregory is watching with pride from above, and I wish you the best of adventures.

I'm following along as closely as I can (you even got me to sign up for Twitter:-) and enjoying it emensely. I hope to at least watch you roll by somewhere tomorrow if I can somehow sort out your route. Any route details on the site that I'm missing? Another hope is that someone reads this with a hand in the site since a number of pages are coming up blank and that includes the donation page.

One thing that struck me when reading Alice Ramsey's book regarding her adventure, was the absence of the slightest hint of complaint. Not that Alice was spared challenges and disappointments. In the interest of authenticity, I've heard no complaining or dispair from our 2009 crew. Great job, great authenicity. Even though I'm sure Emily would have liked to have driven the Maxwell out on to the baseball field in Buffalo and Rich/Tim have seen enough of the inside of a Maxwell DA engine thank you.

There are two eager camps following every word of your efforts. The proud women who are getting a well deserved automotive pat on the back. Especially for Alice and Emily. And the gear heads across the country that are listening to every beat of the trip. Waiting for the next technical missed beat to offer a suggested mechanical cure.

There is something for everybody in this endeavor. We are all relieved with the problem solving effort and are ready to follow you on to San Francisco. But first the "Road to Omaha".

You're a rigged for runnin' now!

I continue to be so moved by your journey. I know it's been filled with lots of obstacles, but you're inspiring us with every move you make- behind the wheel or not! What a great adventure and thanks for being so great about keeping us SO in touch with every step. Can't wait to follow you across the rest of the country!
