Heading to Glenmoor 9/12-9/14

Posted on Aug 23rd, 2008 at 12:30 pm by Bengt

The 14th Annual Concours d’Elegance - Glenmoor Gathering has graciously invited us to show the 1909 Maxwell DA at this years Sept 12-14 weekend! This is the same car Emily and her faithful passengers will be driving next June from NYC to SF. It is running and in beautiful “pre-drive” condition. It will be on display at Glenmoor for the weekend. Rich and Bengt Anderson will be in attendance and quite possibly the Ramsey family. If anyone is attending the Glenmoor Gathering please come find us and check out the car, pick up a book, ask us some questions and help us to get the word out!

Thanks again for all the support and interest in Alice’s Drive! We look forward to seeing you on the road.

I was disappointed that the car didn’t make it to Canton but understand that it was a transportation issue and not a problem with the Maxwell. I also understand that Rich, Bengt, & a couple of the Ramseys were there but, without the car as a focal point, had no way of connecting. Good to know the car is ready.

I saw this beautiful Maxwell at the Hershey fall meet earlier this month. I spoke to the chief mechanic and left my e-mail address. I am a member of the Cedar Rapids Region AACA in Iowa. Please keep me updated on the trip plans and I will inform our club accordingly. Hopefully, we can join in the drive with our various antique cars as you pass through our area. I will be happy to promote a social event here should you like. My wife and I own a fully restored 1912 Maxwell Messenger roadster that has been a repeat AACA award winner.
